I'm looking for celebrationsGWENDOLINE HENDRY
Published on 27/08/2014
GWENDOLINE HENDRY I shall never forget my mother's face as she lay so serene in satin and lace, Those toil worn hands now marble white, A doll like image in candle light, How clear the mind in retrospect, Of a sweet mothers tenderness, We said goodbye, I left lipstick trace, as so often I'd done on that once wrinkled face, She gave so much love to me, enough to last for eternity. Words written in 1972 by Gwendoline Hendry (8th February 1924 - 15th August 2014) Words now echoed by her son Gordon.
