Waste collection

Sir – We could make the WODC’s free garden waste collection service even more effective if those of us who do have enough waste to justify having our own bin form small neighbourly groups to share one.

Animals suffer

Sir – Today I had to free a young moorhen, who had been caught up in fishing line that is regularly left on the riverbank, along with fishing hooks, discarded bait packets, coke cans, sandwich wrappers, etc, next to the footpath from Cogges into Witney.

Army Cadets are our future assets

Sir – Along with some other town mayors from Oxfordshire, I have had the opportunity to visit the annual camp of the Oxfordshire Army Cadets in Tenby.
