Enriqueta BROOKS (nee Maiz) On March 29, 2017, at Wotton Rise Nursing Home, Gloucester, aged 95, formerly of Witney and Freeland. One of the Basque children evacuated from the Spanish Civil War who were housed at St Jospeh's (now Westfield House), Aston, from 1937. Ketty leaves a daughter, Carmen, son-in-law Ian, 3 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Cremation took place at Gloucester on April 6th. She had specified no religious ceremony, but all her family were there to bid her farewell.
