Thousands of youngsters from across the county will be attending an event designed to give them ideas about their future after school.
More than 4,000 students aged from 12 upwards are expected to attend the Careers Fest at the Kassam Stadium in Grenoble Road, Oxford on Wednesday.
There they will meet local and national employers including BMW, BT, Microsoft and BP amongst 50 organisations offering information and advice on careers and training after full-time education.
Vikki Gledhill, manager at the Oxfordshire Education Business Partnership (OEBP), which is helping to organise the event, said: “In the current economic climate we have to make sure young people are fully aware of the opportunities available.
“There will be a big focus on plugging skills gaps for example in science, technology, engineering and maths so the future workforce can be developed helping employers.”
The event takes place at the Kassam Stadium on January 26 from 9am.
Anyone wishing to attend should call Alison Cetnik on 01865 323477 or visit the website www.oebp.org.uk
