Air ambulance carries blood

The Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance now carries blood on board.
From yesterday, the aircraft will carry two units of blood permanently, and the on-board doctors will be able to potentially use it to save lives at roadside. It can be stored for 72 hours.
