SANTA led the way as a walking bus made its last journey of the term to Woodstock Primary School.
Headteacher Lisa Rowe dressed up for the walk on Friday from Woodstock Library’s car park to the Shipton Road school, to promote fitness and carbon reduction by urging pupils and parents to walk to classes.
More than 100 children, parents and staff were joined by county council leader and Woodstock councillor Ian Hudspeth, the town’s mayor Brian Yoxall and Lady Blandford.
Ms Rowe said: “It was wonderful to see. When you turned back, all you could see was a long train of children and parents waking.”
Mr Hudspeth said: “It had a serious note to it because it was encouraging parents to use the car park and reduce congestion outside the school.”
