RETIRED pharmacist Margaret Driver got a shock when a loose horse clambered on to the bonnet of her Mercedes.
Mrs Driver, 59, of Oxford Road, Frilford, was in her car with husband Manfred, 60, on Saturday at about 8pm when the vehicle was surrounded by about seven horses in Cothill Road, Cothill, near Abingdon. She said her car suffered hundreds of pounds worth of damage.
Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Francine Rodrigues said they received five phone calls about the horses. They were later collected by their owner in a field near the Black Horse pub in Gozzards Ford.
