CHRISTOPHER TOWNER, 46, of Miller Road, Banbury, admitted shoplifting eight cans of Strongbow worth £12.18 from the Esso garage in Baynards Green, Bicester, on July 6. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £12.18 compensation, a £15 victims’ surcharge, and £40 costs.

STEVEN PUGH, 28, of St Johns Court, Grove, admitted assault by beating in Faringdon on January 26. Community order made with a programme requirement. Restraining order also made. Told to pay £150 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge, and £300 costs.

COLIN FLINT, 29, of Dyke Flint, Brighton, travelled on a railway in Oxfordshire without paying a fare in Oxford on December 5. Fined £75 and told to pay £39.40 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £10 costs.

EDITH ZOGAC-JONES, 19, of Hollinsclough Close, Manchester, travelled on a railway in Oxfordshire without paying a fare in Didcot on April 1. Fined £75 and told to pay £79 compensation and a £20 victims’ surcharge.

PAUL ROBERTS, 39, of Barton Village Road, Headington, convicted of failing without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on March 7 by failing to attend unpaid work on May 10. Told to pay costs of £50.

HENRI LE VAILLANT, 24, of Coley, East Harptree, Bristol, admitted drink-driving on the A4130 in Nettlebed on July 7. Had 57 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £125, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.

DIMITRI NEHR, 26, of Lime Close, Newbury, admitted drink-driving on the A34 at Hinksey Hill, Oxford, on July 8. Had 84 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Also admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance. Given a 12-month prison sentence suspended for 24 months. Also told to do 50 hours of unpaid community work in the next 12 months. Told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 40 months.

DAVID HUTLER, 39, of Oakerside Drive, Peterlee, County Durham, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Magdalen Street, Oxford, on June 18, and the crime was racially or religiously aggravated. Also admitted criminal damage to a police car at St Aldate’s Police Station, Oxford, on June 18. Fined £160, a £100 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.

SALEEM KAIGHEN-THOMAS, 41, of Clematis Place, Abingdon, admitted failing to comply with a direction given by police to leave a locality and not return within 24 hours in the Vineyard, Abingdon, on July 10. Fined £30 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £30 costs.

COURTNEY LAWRENCE, 18, of Kennet Walk, Reading, convicted of taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent in Newman Road, Oxford, on December 28. Also admitted driving without insurance and without a licence in Newman Road, Oxford, on December 28. Community order made with an attendance requirement, fined £100, and told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge.
