VILLAGERS will be given the chance to buy pubs before they are lost to housing developers, it was announced yesterday.
The Government said 100 pubs across the country had been listed by councils as community assets, which gives residents six months to put a bid together to buy the pub before it can be sold on.
The Bull in Great Milton, the only remaining pub in the village, was bought by villagers using the system in May after a campaign backed by celebrity chef Raymond Blanc.
