A BODY of a woman in her late 70s has been found in a house in Woodstock that partly collapsed during a fire last night.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service this morning confirmed a body had been found in the debris of the property in Green Lane.
Crews were called at 1.17am.
Mat Carlile, service area manager, said: "We found the body of who is believed is the owner of the house.
"Two fire engines were met with a pretty severe fire coming from the ground and the first floor so they called another two fire engines.
"Because of the severity of the fire part of the building collapsed while our firefighters were in the building. All our firefighters were ok, no one was injured."
Thames Valley Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Green Lane was closed by the property this morning.
