TOP Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has claimed he did not use racist language during filming.
The Daily Mirror reported he used the “n word” while reciting a version of the nursery rhyme “eeny, meeny, miny, moe”.
It was said to have been edited out when the episiode was aired on BBC 2.
Clarkson, who lives just outside Chipping Norton, tweeted yesterday morning: “I did not use the n word. Never use it. The Mirror has gone way too far this time.”
BBC spokeswoman Giovanna Clark said: “The Mirror didn’t approach us, clearly we’ll establish the facts before commenting.”
