A NEW maze captured the imaginations of children visiting Witney’s Cogges Manor Farm Museum at the weekend.
Although they could see where they were going in the maze mowed into a field, there was still the challenge of finding their way to the centre of the maze.
The half-mile maze, which was opened on Saturday, is thought to have been the site of a medieval fish pond.
Director Colin Shone said: “We wanted to get people walking through the field and having a maze is a really good way of doing that. It’s not the sort of maze where people get lost. It’s a really nice way of understanding what was done all those centuries ago.”
Grace Luke, from Woking, visited the farm for the day on a family outing with her two daughters and four grandchildren.
She said: “There were lots of lovely open spaces for the children to play in and it was a nice day out.”
Her grand-daughter Phoebe Luke, three, said: “I had a lot of fun running around with my cousins Ella and Dylan.”
