A hairdresser yesterday denied selling counterfeit hairdryers and hair straighteners, including one appliance which burst into flames.
Witney-based hair products company Perfect Strand director Maddison Tiffany Hawk, 26, pleaded not guilty to six charges at Oxford Magistrates’ Court.
She is accused by Oxfordshire County Council’s trading standards team of selling two counterfeit GHD gift packs, each including a hairdryer and a set of hair straighteners, on May 10.
Hawk, of Mallard Drive in Witney, is also charged with using fake logos and selling an unsafe product after it caught fire during tests by trading standards.
She will appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court for trial on Tuesday, October 14.
