THOUSANDS of people descended on Witney to enjoy the town's beer festival on Saturday.
In its seventh year, it took place in St Mary's Church and was run by the Witney Round Table.
Rev Toby Wright, the team rector and area dean, said: “It was a great opportunity for the town to celebrate what a great place Witney is.”
It was initially the brainchild of the church warden of St Mary’s Church in the town, James Mills – who is currently the council leader of West Oxfordshire District Council.
There were 72 real ales on tap and another nine drinks – including ciders and lagers – for people to choose from.
Anyone enjoying the festival was able to pay £10 in exchange for a commemorative glass and three tokens, which were worth half a pint of drink each.
