Supermarket giant Aldi is looking to hire 130 people across Oxfordshire – with salaries reaching more than £60,000.

The budget chain is open to employing staff with varying levels of experience for vacancies across the county.

In particular, Aldi bosses are seeking workers at the Banbury and Bicester stores.

A recruitment appeal claims the employment drive is part of Aldi’s nationwide expansion, with the supermarket opening a number of stores across the UK in the next year.

It comes after the business previously revealed it was targeting Oxfordshire as an area to open new stores.

Aldi most recently opened an Abingdon site in December.

Witney Gazette:

Giles Hurley, chief executive officer of Aldi UK, said: “Demand for Aldi has never been higher as more and more people realise they can make significant savings on every shop without compromising on quality.

“It’s more important than ever that we are making it even easier for more people to shop with us – including by opening dozens of new stores.

Aldi is also currently recruiting for 450 jobs at its 11 regional distribution centres up and down the country.
