Abingdon and Witney College hosted more than 600 students at an annual West Oxfordshire careers fair.

The College held the event for the West Oxfordshire Schools Careers Partnership, a collaborative effort between nine educational establishments purposed to enhance the availability of career opportunities throughout the region.

Chair of the West Oxfordshire Schools Careers Partnership, Ms Haines, said: "This year's West Oxfordshire Schools Careers Partnership Careers Fair was once again a fantastic evening.

"As Chair of the group, I was so pleased to see over 600 students and their parents attend, from all of our schools.

"The event had a real buzz and feedback was very positive, which is fantastic.

"These events make such a difference to our students, so we really appreciate the support from our exhibitors and the College, who hosted it."

This careers fair grants students, and their parents or carers, the ability to engage with a diversity of employers and trainers.

One of two key functions coordinated each year, the event offers participating businesses the chance to connect with students across the county and promote their respective fields.

The fair also aids them in securing future recruits with the necessary skills.

The College and the West Oxfordshire Schools Careers Partnership have expressed their gratitude to all who attended the function, and extended their thanks to all participants for their contributions to the evening.
