A Witney school has released a song with the aim of being the UK Christmas Number One.

The track by Stanton Harcourt CE Primary School, 'Living, Learning, and Growing Together', was penned and performed by the school's pupils.

Rather than being a traditional festive song, the track aims to carry a message of unity and joy.

The song, which was developed collaboratively with parent, musician Olivia Payne, and its accompanying video, reflect the pupils' creativity and the school’s harmonious environment.

Faye Tingley, Headteacher at Stanton said: "The song truly mirrors our school’s ethos and the wonderful spirit of our rural community.

"Our students' creativity and enthusiasm have filled our village school with a new energy that perfectly aligns with our vision."

The song is now available on Spotify and other major platforms, encouraging listeners to embrace a new kind of festive anthem and support the school’s pursuit of the UK Christmas Number One.

A music video has also been produced, which can be viewed on YouTube.

The school has also used this opportunity to welcome new families to join their community that is dedicated to the growth and development of every pupil.

In celebration, each student received a silicone band imprinted with the school’s anthem, "Living, Learning, and Growing Together".
