The family of Adam Tippett, the 24-year-old man who died following a collision on the A40 near Witney, today released a tribute.
Mr Tippett, from Staffordshire, was a pedestrian on the dual carriageway when he was struck by a BMW in the early hours of Sunday.
In a statement issued through Thames Valley Police, the family said: “Adam was a wonderful person who always had a smile on his face for everyone.
"He loved his family and friends and was never happier than when he was able to spend time with those who were close to him.
“Working as a joiner, he had spent the last two years living in Witney and was planning on moving back to his home town at the end of the following week.
"Adam's family are incredibly close and are devastated by the loss of their son, brother and grandson who was tragically taken from them.”
The family have not yet set a date for the funeral.
Anyone who witnessed the collision should contact the investigating officer PC David Roberts-Ablett from the Bicester Roads Policing Department on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police, you can call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
