Sir – Whose fantastic idea was it to change the longest stay allowed in the Woolgate Centre car park to three hours?
Could the district council tell Waitrose staff (mainly women) where they are supposed to park when they start work at 5am and don’t finish until much later ?
They come from outside Witney and the Marriotts Walk multi-storey is not open when they need to park their cars to come to work.
Any changes made in this town are supposed to improve things for the people who work and live here and not the opposite, as in this case.
Time for some joined-up thinking again, as with the latest disabled parking U-turn in the High Street.
And it is not only Waitrose staff who need long-stay parking facilities at this time in the morning.
