Sir – In response to Mr Shorrock’s letter (Gazette, September 11).
We also, as residents of Brize Norton, have been awaiting a press release, not only from West Oxfordshire’s council leader, Mr Barry Norton, but also our local MP and Prime Minister, Mr David Cameron.
Both of these gentlemen sent letters to Mr Keith Beckingham relating to this issue.
If Mr Watt’s statement is true, then the resultant accusations are very serious. But as yet we have not had any response from either party.
We, the residents of Brize Norton and the voting public, who thought we lived in a democratic democracy, would like answers.
