Struggling Farnham Royal had the better of a draw with Great & Little Tew in their Serious Cricket Home Counties Premier Division Division 2 West encounter on Saturday.
Chasing Farnham Royal’s total of 259-6 from 59 overs, Tew finished on 202-5.
While the game was eventually a comfortable draw, Great Tew had been in real trouble when they lost Robbie Cat-ling, Curtly Slatter and Harry Smith in the space of just five deliveries with the score stuck on 75.
But keeper Ashley Hubbert and all-rounder Lloyd Brock then got their heads down.
Brock finished unbeaten on 63 from 92 deliveries and Hubbert ended up 59 not out.
Earlier, Tew had won the toss and elected to bowl.
It did not look like a bad move when they had Farnham 77-4, but Ollie Clayson (79) and Sameer Patel (60no) saw them to an imposing total.
Farnham Royal 12pts, Gt & Little Tew 8
