David Connolly is set for his debut when Oxford United take on AFC Wimbledon today – providing the Kassam Stadium passes a precautionary pitch inspection at 10am today.

The striker, who yesterday joined the U’s on loan from Portsmouth, goes straight into a squad still hit by injuries.

Michael Raynes (hip), Dave Kitson (ankle) and Ryan Williams (knee) are all expected to still be missing.

It will mean a reshuffle in the back four, with the most likely solution being David Hunt moving to centre half and Matt Bevans coming in at right back.

Dons boss Neal Ardley could hand Danny Hylton a first start of his loan spell after he scored as a substitute in Tuesday’s 2-1 win over Hartlepool United.

The visitors are ninth after taking ten points from the last five games, but will be without Peter Sweeney, Charlie Strutton, Callum Kennedy and Andy Frampton.
