Great & Little Tew captain Andy Harris says Curtly Slatter is eligible to play in the Davidstow Village Cup, despite an appeal from Shipton-under-Wychwood.
A change in the rules for this year’s competition means players become ineligible if they play in any Minor Counties match during 2013 or 2014.
However, clubs have secured dispensation in certain cases.
Slatter played once for Oxfordshire in the 2013 Minor Counties Championship.
But Harris confirmed that after after asking for dispensation, Tew had received an email from the organisers declaring Slatter eligible.
Tew beat Shipton in the Oxfordshire semi-final and host Cumnor in the final this Sunday.
