A SUPERB all-round display from Anupam Sanklecha gave Shipton-under-Wychwood a resounding 68-run victory at Thame Town in the Serious Cricket Home Counties Premier League.

Sanklecha followed his half-century with a spell of 7-47 from 16.5 overs to dismiss the hosts for 125 in reply to Shipton’s total of 193 in their Division 2 clash.

Shipton, put in to bat, slipped to 27-3, with Michael Beard taking two wickets.

And at 84-5, following the dismissal of Jamie Perkin for 36, Thame were in control.

But Sanklecha responded with 51, and with support from the tail, lifted the visitors to 193 in 58 overs.

He then spread-eagled the Thame top order to leave them 46-5 and finished with 7-47 as they were all out in 37.5 overs.

The only resistance for Thame, who stay in the bottom three, came from Matt MacDonald with 32.

Great & Little Tew continued to establish themselves in Division 1 with a comfortable five-wicket success at Reading.
