Lara Griffith, from Milton-under-Wychwood, collected two awards at the British Dressage National Convention held at Addington Manor Equestrian Centre in Buckinghamshire.
The 20-year-old, who is on the British Equestrian Federdation’s (BEF) World Class Development programme, was given the awards for the highest-placed British competitor at the European Championship and the most improved young rider.
Griffith went on to have two 45-minute demonstration lessons with Jean Bemelmans, the renowned German team medallist and trainer for the Spanish dressage team.
Griffith, who rode Hilary Sawyer and Leonie Porter’s Dawning Hopes said: “It’s been a fantastic weekend.
“The lessons with Jean Bemelmen’s were brilliant and I really feel like I am moving in the right direction.”
