Eynsham Road Runners enjoyed their best peformance in the Ridgeway Relay with a third-placed finish.
A consistent peformance over the 87-mile ten-leg course saw their A team dip inside the ten-hour barrier with 9hrs 58mins 37secs and pip Oxford City, who were fourth.
Headington Road Runners retained their title.
Eynsham’s top performers were Rob Storey and Mark Tyrrell, who clocked the third fastest times for legs one and nine respectively.
Storey recorded 1hr 7mins 51secs for his 11-mile section, with Tyrrell running his 10.7-mile leg in 1.06.05.
Eynsham’s veterans team were also third in their category with a combined time of 12.52.49.
Witney A finished tenth in the open race.
Tegid Jones was fastest on leg three over 9.4 miles with a time of 57.01, while Gareth Petts (57.15) was second quickest on leg ten over the same distance.
Dave Cantwell finished fourth in the Humph’s Hilly Half Marathon at Bourton-on-the-Water.
The Woodstock Harriers athlete completed the challenging course in 1hr 21mins 36secs to take the second vet 40 prize.
His wife, Sue, picked up the first vet 40 ladies’ title, finishing 58th overall in 1.42.49.
