Chadlington's OCA League Division 1 survival hopes suffered another blow as they were hammered by 160 runs at Westbury in Division 1 on Saturday.

Westbury youngster Olly Tice made the most of his first team call-up by smashing a century to get his side’s Division 1 title challenge back on track in convincing style.

Batting first, Tice slammed 112, Tom Wilson 84 and Tom Gurney 62 as Westbury racked up 334-3.

Chadlington never got close, despite the efforts of Dan Townsend and Freddie Magee who both made 51.

They were all out for 174 with Graham Judd taking 5-35.

Charlbury fell to an 88-run defeat at Great Horwood.

Stuart Parker top-scored with 52 in Horwood’s 196-9, before Josh Nix claimed 5-35 to help dismiss Charlbury for only 108.

Stonesfield completed a seven-wicket win at Oxenford after Ed Oakley (4-30) and Tom Gubbins (3-12) combined to dismiss their hosts for just 103.

Jamie Burns then scored 45 not out to lead Stonesfield to an easy victory.

However, the next day, Stonesfield bowed out of the Airey Cup following a 54-run semi-final defeat at Westbury.

Tice made 87 as Westbury posted 214-9.

Sam Stoop then took 4-50 and Graham Judd 3-33 as Stonesfield were bowled out for 160.

In Division 2, Witney Swifts fell to a six-wicket defeat at home to Faringdon.

Nigel Hume’s 5-45 kept Swifts in check by posting 200-9, Josh Grant (59) and Conor Newcombe (48no) batting well for the home side.

Nick Giles then hit 76 and Luke Bowerman 44 as Faringdon reached 203-4.

Broughton & North Newington beat hosts Chipping Norton by seven wickets.

Chasing Chippy’s 150-8, Broughton eased home at 151-3, thanks to 44 from Paul Derry and 42 from Alex Dawson.

Hanborough lost by one wicket to Division 3 title-chasers Cairns Fudge.

Steve Shaw (4-37) and Jamie Clark (4-38) combined to dismiss Hanborough for 106, but Fudge lost regular wickets in their reply, sealing the slenderest of victories at 107-9 as Dan Possee (3-29) and Jonathan Ayris (3-39) shone for the hosts.

Chris Pascoe hit 87 to help Stanton Harcourt to a six-wicket victory at home to Swinbrook in OCA League Division 4.

Batting first, Swinbrook were soon in trouble at 42-4, but a 74-run stand between Tom Julian (54) and Peter Foley (52) helped them to 184 all out.

But Stanton made light work of the target as skipper Chris Pascoe (87) and a rapid 57 not out from Jason Fuller helped to knock off the runs in the 30th over.

Hailey defeated visitors Kilkenny by six wickets. Josh Bishop (41) and Lee Keyes (40) led Kilkenny to 157 all out, but 62 not out from Andy Slatter and 39 from Jack Wood helped Hailey to 160-4.

The top-of-the-table Division 5 clash went the way of leaders Sunningwell, who easily beat second-placed Minster Lovell 2nd by 108 runs.

After being put in to bat, a secondwicket partnership of 138 between James Stacey and Tom Harris led Sunningwell to 251 all out.

Stacey led the way with a superb 103, while Harris hit 68, Zak Jarvis taking 4-43 for Minster. The visitors could not get close as they were bowled out for 143 as Anthony Harris took 3-13.

Third-placed West Witney were thrashed by 133 runs at Risinghurst. The hosts posted 217-9, Vishal Lal top-scoring with 52.

West Witney then crashed to 84 all out in reply, Martin Kalyan the pick of the bowlers with 3-11 for the home side.

Hook Norton defeated visitors Charlbury 2nd by five wickets.

Tom Mayho hit 59 in Charlbury’s 164- 9, but 46 not out from Dan White and 35 from Richard Knight led Hooky to 167-5.

Batting performance of the day came at Faringdon 2nd, where Bampton amassed a formidable 293-1 in a 212- run victory in Division 6.

Grant Print smashed 140 not out and Ted Landray 125 in Bampton’s huge total, and then Russell King took 4-8 in 7.4 overs as the home side were skittled out for 81.

Shrivenham 2nd saw off visitors Chipping Norton 2nd by 42 runs. Bradley Bowles top-scored with 38 in Shrivenham’s 205-8, before Manoj Perera took 4-46 and Richard Deacon 3-53 as Chippy fell to 163 all out, despite 55 not out from Rhys Warner Carter.

Hanborough 2nd suffered the ignominy of seven ducks as they crashed to a 117-run defeat at Tetsworth 2nd in Division 7.

Haroon Nasser Khan took six wickets without conceding a run to help Tetsworth 2nd to their crushing win. All Khan’s victims were bowled as Hanborough collapsed to 76 all out chasing Tetsworth’s total of 193 all out.

Only Simon Brown (30). Tim Adair (22) and Jake Halsey (12) troubling the scorers for ten-man Hanborough.

Ducklington beat visitors Chadlington 2nd by 236 runs in Division 8.

The home side amassed a huge 354 all out as Scott Summers slammed 116, Elliott Bryant 62 and Jacob Hughes 55.

Hughes then took 4-15 and Kane Lewis 4-28 as Chadlington fell to 118. Jon Florey hit a century for Charlbury 3rd to help his side to a 155-run win at Westcott 2nd in Division 10.

Charlbury rattled up 251-5 thanks to 105 from Florey, before Matthew Doran claimed 3-22 as Westcott were bowled out for 96.

Stanton Harcourt 2nd beat hosts Kidlington 3rd by 101 runs.

Rob Graham hit 61 in Stanton’s 213 all out and then Scott Hambridge took 5-19 as Kidlington were dismissed for 112.
