MINSTER Lovell’s OCA League Division 1 title hopes were left in tatters after they crashed to a four-wicket defeat at Oxenford.

Aaron Hirtenstein was chief destroyer on Saturday, as he took 4-19 in Minster’s dismal 86 all out.

Although the hosts lost six wickets in their reply, they reached 89-6 to pull away from the foot of the table and all-but end Minster’s title hopes.

Stonesfield upset hosts Radley with an 82-run win, knocking them off the top.

Tim Wyatt hit 68 in Stonesfield’s 185-8, before Liam Hatton took 3-14 and Ed Oakley 3-32 in Radley’s 103 all out.

Chipping Norton closed the gap on Division 2 leaders Faringdon as they saw off Marsh Gibbon by 26 runs.

Richard Ferley’s 48 not out was the main contribution in Chippy’s 132-7, before Mark Jarvis took 4-34 and Adam Wallington 3-17 to help dismiss Marsh Gibbon for 106.

Richard Brown’s 6-47 proved in vain as Hanborough lost by 69 runs at home to Westcott in Division 3.

Rehman Ullah scored 69 in Westcott’s 210-9, Richard Brown taking 6-47 for Hanborough.

Hanborough fell to 141 all out in reply, despite 43 from Will Potter.

In Division 4, Swinbrook upset leaders Kidlington with a 20-run victory.

Hosts Swinbrook were restricted to 147-9, Rupert Grace top-scoring with 52.

But Kidlington fared worse as they were shot out for 127 as Andrew Wingfield Digby took 3-46 and Ben Coombs 3-21.

Stanton Harcourt saw off hosts Deddington by two wickets.

After Deddington crawled to 117-8, Stuart Leece took 6-19 in Stanton’s reply, but they reached 118-8, thanks to 46 not out from Charlie Waite.

Kilkenny condemned basement boys Britwell Salome to a 100-run defeat, confirming their relegation.

Thomas Valentine’s 84 not out helped Kilkenny to 210-7. Britwell could muster only 110-8, thanks largely to three wickets apiece for Darren Gordon and Chris May.

Minster Lovell 2nd closed the gap on leaders Sunningwell with a four-wicket win at Charlbury 2nd in Division 5.

Ben Spencer (4-19) and Chris Morgan (4-33) helped to bowl Charlbury out for 100, Tom Mayho hitting 52.

Mayho then claimed 4-10 for Charlbury, but Minster reached 102-6 as Tim Jarvis hit 37 not out.

Chipping Norton 2nd were put to the sword by Division 6 leaders Westbury 2nd.

Two superb centuries from Andrew Lees (109) and Dan Willett (104) helped Westbury to a huge 334-6.

George Markham added 53, and then claimed 4-19 as Chippy were bowled out for 124.

Bampton saw off hosts Kidlington 2nd by 32 runs to keep up their challenge.

Grant Print’s 91 helped Bampton to 184-6, before Ben Brown claimed 4-11 and Julian Easterbrook 3-34 to bowl Kidlington out for 152.

Combe proved far too strong for visitors Chadlington, crushing them by 248 runs in Division 8.

Chris Moore hit 107 and Jonny Bourchier 83 not out to help Combe to a massive 320-4.

Dave Gardner returned amazing figures of 5-0 from six overs as Chadlington were bowled out for 72.

Jacob Hughes’s 5-11 and 34 not out helped Ducklington beat visitors Swinbrook 2nd by eight wickets.

There were two centuries at Uffington 2nd beat Minster Lovell 3rd by five wickets with Neil Spearman hitting 101 not out in Minster’s 203-4, but Uffington reached 204-5 thanks to 113 not out from Simon Clark.

Finlay Boland hit 100 not out for Witney Swifts 2nd in his side’s 108-run win at Wootton & Boars Hill 2nd.

Swifts posted 204-6, before Graeme Woodward claimed 6-16 in Wootton’s 96 all out.
