MINSTER Lovell reached the second round of the Airey Cup with a thrilling seven-run win at East & West Hendred.

Connor Tinsley (44), Angus Spittles (40) and Jack Simpson (38) helped Minster set 195-9 in their 45 overs, before off-spinner Simpson claimed 4-56 as Hendred were held to 188-7.

Chipping Norton lost at home to Marsh Gibbon by 26 runs.

Sam Richardson hit 50 not out and Steve Turner 49 in Marsh Gibbon’s 207-8, and then Sat Vadivale claimed 3-51 in Chippy’s 181 all out, Arthur Ward top-scoring with 58.

Stonesfield fell to a 32-run defeat at Wootton & Boars Hill.

Shaun Morton hit 64 and Billy Webb 53 in Wootton’s 207-7, and Webb then claimed 5-25 to dismiss Stonesfield for 175.

In the first round of the Telegraph Cup, Minster Lovell 2nd recorded a crushing nine-wicket win over hosts Tetsworth.

Minster dismissed Tetsworth for 140, Krunal Patel top-scoring with 62. But Minster eased to victory at 144-1 as Zak Jarvis hit 77 not out and youngster Ollie Mersh 51 not out.

Hosts Kilkenny fell victim to Rehman Ullah's all-round display for Westcott, who scraped home by one wicket.

Ullah claimed 5-60 to help dismiss the Carterton-based side for 180. He then scored 67 and Mark Strong 47 as Westcott edged to 181-9.

Eynsham beat visitors West Ilsley by six wickets after bowling them out for 156.

Sam Jones scored 72 not out to lead Eynsham’s reply to 159-4.

Stanton Harcourt fell to an 11-run defeat at Uffington.

Three wickets apiece for Alex Vaughan, Andy Walker and Ryan Wastie saw Stanton dismiss their hosts for 112, but then they fell to 101 all out in reply as Adam Hargreaves took 3-20 and Adam Shorten 3-30.

Witney Swifts 2nd booked their place in round two of the Osberton Radiators Cup, courtesy of a six-wicket win at home to Eynsham 2nd.

Left-arm spinner Graeme Woodward claimed 6-22 in 11.3 overs as Eynsham were shot out for 101. James O’Sullivan (32) and Harry Thompson (31) led Swifts to 102-4.

Hailey crashed to a 121-run Division 4 defeat at Dorchester. Adrian Redhead smashed 138 not out in Dorchester’s 259-2, before Hailey were bowled out for 138.

Tom Julian fell one short of a century in Swinbrook’s 257-6, and then Stuart Bullen returned figures of 7-17 to skittle Watlington for 66.

Bampton thumped hosts West Witney by 175 runs in Division 5.

Edward Landray’s 86 and Simon Launder’s 46 not out help Bampton rattle up 219-9. West Witney were shot out for 44, Ben King and Launder both taking three wickets.
