SHOAIB Ahmed hit an unbeaten century as Stonesfield cruised to an eight-wicket victory at home to Yarnton & Cowley in OCA League Division 1.
Basement boys Yarnton posted a competitive total of 202-7 in their 45 overs as Mateen Junaid hit 65 and Uzair Ahmed 53.
Sam Hibberd took 3-26 for Stonesfield, who then eased to victory as Ahmed hit an unbeaten 109 to steer his side home.
Charlbury slipped to their first defeat as Faringdon ran out five-wicket winners.
Will Oglesby shone for Faringdon, taking 4-28 as Charlbury were all out for 130, Ashley Rump top-scoring with 57.
Oglesby then hit 41 not out to see Faringdon to 132-5.
Division 2 leaders Witney Swifts marched on with an eight-wicket victory against visitors Wantage.
Redd Pratley’s 5-25 helped restrict Wantage to 164-7, before Josh Grant (59no) and Jason Seacole (50no) saw Swifts to 166-2.
Chipping Norton lost by 19 runs at home to Wootton & Boars Hill.
An opening partnership of 124 between Shaun Morton (85) and Marc Glover (33) helped the hosts to 186-6. Billy Webb then claimed 4-41 as Chippy were bowled out for 167, Dave Brassett top-scoring with 48.
An unbeaten 79 from Ben Tew led Stanton Harcourt to an eight-wicket win at Fringford in Division 3.
A composed 68 from Tom Bacon helped Fringford to 184 all out, but Tew and Arun White (49) led Stanton home at 188-2.
Cairns Fudge were all out for 113 but still managed a 59-run win against visitors Hanborough.
Harry Newall took 3-12 in Hanborough’s reply as they were tumbled out for only 54.
Swinbrook suffered a crushing 281-run defeat away to Dorchester in Division 4.
Adrian Redhead (118) and Connor Graney (112no) led Dorchester to a massive 324-4.
An under-strength Swinbrook were skittled out for just 43.
Leaders Bampton thrashed hosts West Ilsley by 153 runs.
Richard Pitt top-scored with 56 in Bampton’s 195, before Ady Brooksbank took 4-15 to send Ilsley crashing to 42 all out.
Division 5 leaders Combe raced to a nine-wicket victory over Ducklington, who were dismissed for 105.
Combe took only 13.3 overs to reach the target thanks to Robbie Nicholson (79no).
Omer Tariq inspired Hailey & West Witney to a 26-run win at Hook Norton.
Tariq’s 92 saw Hailey set 194-7 in their 45 overs, before Nigel Walker claimed 4-49 as Hooky were bowled out for 168.
In Division 7, Eynsham 2nd ended the unbeaten run of leaders Chesterton with a two-wicket win.
Roland Margerison shone, taking 3-44 in Chesterton’s 178, before hitting an unbeaten 89 to lead Eynsham to 179-8.
An unbeaten 106 from Samuel Sherpa-Moore saw Hook Norton 2nd to 259-7 and a 93-run victory at Swinbrook 2nd in Division 8 North.
