JAMES Henry was encouraged by the way Oxford United solved problems on the pitch as a slick Brentford side edged an entertaining pre-season friendly 4-3 at the Kassam Stadium.
The Sky Bet Championship side were dominant early on and deserved their 2-0 lead last night, but United made adjustments and hit back to go in front.
Henry’s 61st-minute goal made it 3-2 and although the Bees scored twice late on, the summer signing felt there were plenty of positives.
He said: “We’re going to have those problems throughout the season.
“It’s about rectifying it as quickly as possible.
“It took us a little bit too long, but as we grow as a team that will come quicker.
“Sometimes it’s good to learn a lesson like that by having a problem and overcoming it.”
Henry’s goal on his home debut came at the end of a whirlwind first week at United.
“It was nice to get a goal,” he said.
“I’ve only trained twice and played two games, so my legs are going to be stiff in the morning.
“But I’m looking forward to (Birmingham City on) Saturday now.”
