NORTH Leigh’s chase of Division 1 South & West leaders Cinderford Town was interrupted on Saturday, when their Evo-Stik Southern League match at home to Evesham United was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Mark Gee’s men had moved level on points with Cinderford after a 2-0 victory at Shortwood United last Tuesday.
The Millers, who would have gone top with another goal, scored twice in the first-half.
Elliot Osborne-Ricketts opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a cool finish from 15 yards after a Morgan Williams corner.
And another Williams flag kick saw Lewis White double the lead on the half-hour mark as the west Oxfordshire side recorded a hard-fought success to get back to winning ways following a poor run.
