YOUNG water-skier Katie Nutt showed super skills to become a English junior champion at the weeknd.

The 15-year-old, from Standlake took the overall under 17 title at the National Championships in Gosfield, Essex.

Nutt, coached by Steve Glanfield at the Oxford Wake and Ski Club, won gold in the slalom, trick and jump events to claim the crown.

She set a personal best of of 24.7 metres in the jump event

In addition, Nutt – who is sponsored by Vision Motorsport Ltd & Mastercraft Boats – qualified for the open age category finals in all disciplines.

She won silver in the slalom and trick event and increased her best jump to 25.1m to take the overall bronze medal.

Thanks to these outstanding displays, Nutt has been selected to ski for Great Britain in the Europe and Africa Youth Championships next week in Recetto, Italy, and the World Championships in Chile in January.
