DWIGHT Tiendalli and Jon Obika are closing in on a return to fitness but neither will be considered for Oxford United today.
The pair have been missing with hamstring and groin problems respectively.
But while they have both progressed well, U’s manager Pep Clotet’s focus is elsewhere for AFC Wimbledon’s visit.
He said: “Dwight’s training with us normally now and if it was down to him I think he feels he’s ready, but I want to make sure everything is right.
“Jon is getting closer, but I want to make sure all the boxes are ticked with him.
“Maybe next week he will start training properly with the team and then we’ll see.”
Harry Forrester (virus) is a doubt for the visitors, while Jon Meades is back in training after an injury, but today’s game against his former club will come too soon.
